As a contracted designer with The Princess Theatre, the community theatre located in my hometown, Design by Larelle gets the opportunity to work on a large variety of materials for their shows and events. However, one of the early projects we completed is probably the most important and that was updating the theatre logo.  While we didn't want to change the existing logo graphic, it did need to be updated into a more current appearance and more usable file formats.
The updated logo used the same layout and colors, paired with a text that fit better with the theatre's Art Deco exterior and interior design. It also used subtle gradients and drop shadows to differentiate between the layers rather than the thick outlines used previously.
A special logo was also created to mark the 100th anniversary of the theatre in 2020. The addition of the numerals and text to the graphic allowed the main text to still be distinct.
The theatre's adjoining event space also received a complimentary logo that allows it to be promoted individually of the theatre while visually maintaining its association.
